Life has a way of making us cry especially for us women. We cry when we are happy, sad, depressed, or sometimes for no reason at all than to just ‘let it out.’ In my devotional this morning, I ran across this verse in the Bible from Psalm 56:8 (AMP). “You have taken account of my wanderings; Put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not recorded in Your book?” Now, I know God has a book with my name in it. I’ve known that ever since I was taught that once I became a Christian by being baptized with Jesus, my name would be written in the Book of Life. (Revelation 3:5). But I don’t ever remember hearing or learning that He also has a bottle with my tears in it! I cannot tell you how comforting this is for me. Being a ‘middle aged’ woman, I have shed many, many tears as my family knows well. There have also been tears others do not know about. Sharing the hurts only with my Lord and Father in Heaven. What a marvelous thing that He not only knows how many hairs are still left on this head, but also how many tears I have shed in my 51 years on this earth of His. Praise be to Him!
