I love the concept of having an anchor. As we know, an anchor is used to keep something steady, secure and in one place.
This world has a way of taking our boats into a current that maybe we either didn’t pick or didn’t see coming, or ones that we choose on our own that take us where we do not want to go. We can either continue to drift aimlessly or find an anchor to help us stop and get back on a steady course.
Hebrews 6 verse 19 says, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” We are the boat adrift on the sea of this life, and the hope we have in Jesus is our anchor. He holds our souls steady and secure.
My chain may be rusty, by I know Who holds my anchor!
