As a few of you know, we are in the process of building a house and moving to Columbia, TN. Needless to say, this Christmas has been a somewhat different one.
We had no tree to put up, so I bought a very tiny one maybe a foot tall, put some lights on it and a couple of candy canes. It wasn’t the same.
I’ll be honest. I felt bad about it. The kids are home from school, and we don’t even have a Christmas tree!
But you know what? They never even said anything about it!
Life is often like that, isn’t it? We put so much on ourselves wanting or thinking it all has to be perfect. Then, no one else even notices! Or at least if they do, they don’t say anything.
This Christmas was under the tiny tree amid moving boxes.
But we still had a great Christmas and are so blessed.
As The Grinch said, “Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe it means just a little bit more.”
Merry Christmas!
