We’ve all seen it. A player scores a touchdown and points upward. A team bows together seemingly praying. A player takes a knee with a bowed head perhaps praying.
Or the really big one, when a celebrity claims to now be a Christian and is even producing albums of uplifting songs. Do we question it?
Is it real? Unfortunately, that is my first question. I admit it. But I also know it shouldn’t be.
I don’t want people to doubt me and my faith, and I shouldn’t doubt others.
In the book of Philippians, Paul describes two types of people teaching Jesus. One is not doing it the best way, but Paul says so what. As long as Jesus is being preached, that is all that matters.
The bottom line? It is not my place to doubt another’s faith. I have enough to be concerned about making sure my faith is what it should be.
Just praise God that He is getting the glory whether in an athlete’s life or mine!
