I admit it. I’m not very good with names. We placed membership at a new congregation a while ago, and I am still learning names! Thankfully, we have the church directory app on our phones and I can look up someone when I cannot remember their name.
God doesn’t need an app with a directory.
In Exodus 33, God tells Moses He knows his name. I think God and Moses had a very special relationship. What a wonderful thing to be so bold before God as Moses was so many times asking Him for things I don’t think I’d have the courage to ask. Only with a very special bond could Moses have asked things like to see God’s face.
But God knew Moses’s name. And Moses knew it! He knew he was famous in his Father’s eyes!
