When we are raising our kids, we often hear the phrase ‘pick your battles,’ and I have to admit I’ve said it a lot in the past.
Sometimes, though, we cannot pick our battles. Either with kids, our job, our health, and so much more, there comes a time when we have to fight.
Thankfully, as Christians, the Bible tells how to fight and how to win. Ephesians 6 tells us the armor we need to battle this world and the problems that come along with living in it.
In a previous blog I mentioned some things I have written in the back of my Bible. One of those things is about this life’s battle.
A few things to remember:
The battle is God’s. This life has never been healthy for anyone. Nobody else lives for us; we make our own choices. There are no perfect families; expect trouble.
A few things to do:
Connect to God to fight our battles for us. Put on the Armor or God; Ephesians 6; the battle is for our souls! Focus on the cross; make it the center of our lives. Live as resident aids in this world.
