Often times after we experience the death of a loved one, it seems as if time has stopped. We see everyone living their daily lives moving from even to event, but we are stuck in a time warp. We are stuck on May 25th or September 9th or whatever day is ingrained in our brains as one of the worst of our lives.
But I remember. I remember that pain, and that it is still a daily part of some lives and my own. Time doesn’t always heal all wounds, but it does get easier to remember.
I remember.
Perhaps that is why God allows us to remember. It does eventually ease the pain of death, being able to remember our loved ones after they are gone.
I remember.
But most importantly…
God remembers!
