Recently, someone commented to me how concerned they were about others liking them. They acknowledged they lacked the confidence to stand before others.
I get it! Perhaps we all lack the surety to be before others. Maybe because of past experiences we feel as if we’ll be judged.
How many times have we had low self-esteem? Maybe we are still struggling with how we feel about ourselves and what others think of us.
As I’ve thought about our conversation, the Holy Spirit brought this verse to mind. Hebrews 4:16 says, So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
I figure if we as Christians with all our sin and faults and unworthiness can go boldly before God the Creator of everything, surely we can stand in front of a few humans with confidence knowing Whose we are and Who is with us always!
We may not receive mercy and grace from those humans, but we can be confident we will receive it from Him who loves us so much!
